Changes to Club Kawana in Response to COVID-19

Information as of 16/06/2020 – Subject to Change.

Club Kawana is proud to be finally reopening ahead of schedule, on Friday 19th June 2020 from 11am, after our temporary shutdown.

The club will be operating with many new restrictions in place to ensure that we are COVID-Safe, with the well-being of our members, guests and staff being our top priority.

Club Kawana is an integral part of the community and our staff have been working tirelessly to ensure the club can reopen safely to bring back the community feel that we have all been missing over the past few months. All of our facilities are safe, clean, hygienic and comply with all government and health department directions.

As you can appreciate, new restrictions and procedures have been put in place and we please ask that you please:

  • Book in Advance where possible (by calling 07 5493 1233, from Friday at 9am onwards). Bookings are essential for us to ensure your experience in the Club during this time is as enjoyable and safe as possible. We may accept Walk-ins dependent upon availability of space at the time of arrival. Bookings will be limited to a maximum of 6 people per group at this time.
  • Do not attend if you have any symptoms of fever, sore throat, temperature or illness, fatigue, or shortness of breath, or any other COVID-19 related symptoms. Additionally, please do not attend if you have been in the company of anyone exhibiting symptoms as above.
  • You must accept and abide by social distancing requirements, whilst in the venue. During the current restrictions, you will be seated by members of staff upon arrival into a designated area and must always remain seated in this area unless utilising toilet amenities.
  • Additionally, for contact-tracing purposes, you will be required to provide up-to-date contact details upon entry to the club. We recommend non-members join Club Kawana for just $1, to enjoy faster entry on all future visits.

At this stage, Club Kawana will be operating 7-days a week, from 11am to 8.30pm daily, with seated dining and beverage service direct to your table.

There will be a variety of menu items, with options from both our Bistro and Hub Café Menus as well as our range of great-value daily specials.

There will be a maximum of 20 people allowed in any one zone of the club at any one time.

Keno and TAB services will also be available upon our reopening. However, the Gaming Room will not be operational until Stage 3 of the QLD Government Roadmap.

At this time, the following services will not be operating: Live Entertainment, Promotions and Raffles, Poker, Trivia and Courtesy Bus Services. However, we are constantly reassessing guidelines and feasibility to re-instate these where possible.
